Volunteering & Fundraising with Trophy Tournaments
We understand that when playing any community sport, there is a need to fundraise in order to lower costs so all athletes can participate. We at Trophy Tournaments have found a way to help teams fundraise in an easy and fun environment.
Volunteering:
One team or Association will have the opportunity to work the volunteer positions at our events and in turn, will receive a donation to their team of up to $800. For example, with a ringette tournament, the positions may include: time keeping, score keeping, penalty box, signing coaches in, handing out room keys, collecting game sheets, and selling programs and arena passes.
50/50:
Ticket raffles have always been a common thing to see at sporting events and the Trophy Tournament games will be no different. We are offering one team the chance to sell 50/50 tickets at each of our events. Trophy Tournaments will supply the license, the tickets, the poster board, the bucket, and the fans. All the team has to supply is volunteers to go around and sell as many tickets as possible. The more tickets sold, the more money the team makes. The funds will be split as follows: 50% goes to the winning ticket holder, 25% goes to Trophy Tournaments, 25% goes to the volunteering team.
Baskets:
The Basket Fundraiser is one that can be done by any and all teams in Calgary. There is no need for anyone from the team to be at the event venue during the actual games. For this fundraiser, there will be a table of baskets set up during all the days of the sporting event. Any team can submit a basket to the table. Two dollar tickets will be bought for the baskets and individuals will go around and drop a ticket into the bucket. At the end of the event, one ticket will be drawn and that winning ticket holder(s) wins the basket. The rest of the tickets are then taken and counted, and for every ticket left in the bucket, the team that supplied that particular basket receives $1 as a donation to their team.
For example if the ringette team Tween A (U14A) Forte supplies a basket, and their basket bucket holds 200 tickets at the end of the tournament, then they receive $200 from Trophy Tournaments. There is no limit on how many baskets a team is allowed to submit.
