Equine Scavenger Hunt/Derby

The Equine Scavenger Hunt and Derby consists of 10 stations spread out over approximately 30kms. This event is a timed event. Everyone is given a rough map showing the coordnates of all the stations. There is NO particular order that dictates how a participant has to go, however they all must start at the registration booth. The contestants are delayed 3 minutes between their start times to ensure that people don't follow one another. At every station there will be a team of volunteers who will mark your card and that will allow you to contiune on to the next station. Through out the trail system there are signs informing you of trail conditions and boundary lines. Food and water for your horse is avaliable at different stations along the trail and is free of charge.
Anyone interested in competing in this event is required to fill out a registration form. Anyone interested in riding in a group, meaning that they wish to compete as a team and ride together (please note that EVERY member of a group must check in at EVERY station.) The terrain through this event changes from dirt and grass to rocky. It has high steep sections as well as narrow passages. The pictures show some of the terrain. Please only enter if you are comfortable on a horse.
